If you’re ever in South America (specifically Buenos Aires, Argentina), it’s super easy to take a day trip to Uruguay!

Colonia is such a charming little country with amazing seafood and a relaxed vibe.

We took a short ferry from Buenos Aires and spent the day exploring.

We rented an old-school golf cart and cruised around, which was such a fun way to see the area.

We also joined a local tour guide who walked us through the waterfront neighborhoods, visited historic churches, and showed us remnants of the old town.

. Featured on one of the walls is a plaque of St. Antonio, the saint of finding lost items and love!

We stopped for a great lunch by the water (no recommendations as you can find many around the area), shopped for souvenirs, and just enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.

Honestly, it’s such a cute way to spend some free time in Argentina—and yes, it’s a quick and easy passport stamp too 😊
