Dinner in Paraguay: A Quick Escape from Iguazu Falls

If you’re visiting Iguazu Falls—whether you’re on the Argentina or Brazil side—crossing over into Paraguay is just a short drive and makes for a fun, low-key excursion.

We didn’t do much sightseeing, as we were just spending dinner in the area (have you ever taken a quick trip to another country just for dinner? bougie!!!)

We ate dinner at a surprisingly beautiful restaurant called Sax. It was surprising because the area wasn’t too glamorous, but the inside? It seriously felt like a fancy Las Vegas resort. Just look:

It also happened to be Carnaval in Brazil, so they were offering a special on Bellinis (yes please!).

We also got a mini tour of their wine cellar and even got to pick out our own bottle. So many yes’s. Just do it if you’re ever on this side of South America – a quick stamp for just a short time. Oh but be careful, they are a bit strict on border.
